The aim of the thesis was to design a womanswear collection with the combining of handmade techniques and technology. The inspiration for the collection was the technique of triaxial weaving. In the continuation technologies, such as lasercut and sigital printing got added.
The theoretical part of the thesis explains triaxial weaving, the process of weaving and possible patterns. I also explain digital printing and lasercut, their development and use in modern fashion design. I also listed a couple examples of all the techniques in modern fashion collections.
In the experimental part I present my whole process of designing the collection. I present the initial inspiration, the process of choosing colours and the materials and present the line up and the technical drawings of the collection.
