Total quality management is crucial for the constant improvement of all factors that affect work processes of organizations. Organisations in public sector can choose between many quality models and tools for the purpose of total quality management, but the majority of them use the common assessment framework for organizations in the public sector (model CAF). The object of this thesis is a study of model CAF and it´s effect on the change of operational quality of administrative units. With the use of the descriptive method, I presented a broader field of quality in organizations. With the use of the comparative method and the help of a questionary, I compared the change of quality indicators of administrative units that were in different time periods of usage of the model CAF and so shown it´s effect on the change of operational quality of administrative units. The results of the analysis confirmed that its use contributes to maintaining good results at individual quality indicators. With the use of the comparative method and the help of a questionary I have also researched, how is the degree of usefulness of usage of the model, that was expressed by the administrative units connected with the actual condition of quality indicators. I assumed, that the administrative units that expressed a better degree of usefulness will also achieve better results. The results have shown no connection with the expressed degree and the actual results of quality indicators.
