Abstract

Title:Developing the spiral vacuum pump for household usage
Abstract:
In the final part, we investigated the possibilities of the development of a spiral compressor, i.e. pumps in air suction devices in food containers or bags. Based on the requirements given by the company Status, we tried to determine the optimum geometry of the spiral. We tried to maximize sealing between the individual spirals and form parts so as to be as easy as possible to perform injection molding out of plastic. We calculated the volume that our spirals captured, the pressure change in the air pockets, the thermodynamic power, revolutions and the moment of force. According to the above-mentioned calculations, we then selected the engine that could be used for the purpose. In the end, we also created a model of a vacuum pump and described it in a separate chapter. We also described various materials that could be used to produce individual components of the model.
