In the introduction chapter, the restorative justice concept and various definitions are presented along with types of processes in restorative justice programmes and various programmes used in practice.
A presentation of limitations in the current criminal justice system is provided in the next chapter which analyses how the criminal justice system and its proceedings affect victims of sexual assault.
The fifth chapter provides a detailed presentation of various restorative justice programmes used in practice abroad and results obtained from empirical reports measuring their efficiency.
In the conclusion, the author's view on the appropriateness of using the restorative justice as a method to address sexual violence is presented.
