IZVRŠEVANJE KAZENSKIH SANKCIJ: ŠTUDIJA PRIMERA ZAPORA DOB

Izvrševanje kazenskih sankcij je pomembno za vsako državo, da le ta deluje v skladu z normami in pravili ter da se zagotavljata red in disciplina v družbi. Kazni so pomembne, da posamezniki vedo, kakšna sankcija sledi ob storitvi kaznivega dejanja. Pomemben del izvrševanja kazenskih sankcij predstavljajo organi, ki izvršujejo kazenske sankcije in pripor, s ciljem, da bi za družbo, zaprte osebe in zaposlene zagotovili varne zapore. Zapor ni samo nekaj sten in rešetk, pač pa predstavlja pomemben del življenja obsojenca, saj ga je v tem času potrebno pripraviti na življenje izven zapora in doseči, da po odpustitvi ne bo ponovil kaznivega dejanja. Ravno iz tega razloga sem se odločila, da bom v diplomski nalogi raziskovala Zavod za prestajanje kazni zapora Dob, torej kakšno je življenje obsojencev v omenjenem zavodu in kako se le ta sooča z večletno problematiko prezasedenosti. Pri tem sem s pomočjo primerjalne metode in metode deskripcije raziskovala letna poročila ZPKZ Dob, pri čemer sem analizirala strukturo obsojencev po njihovi starosti, dolžini prestajanja kazni in po vrsti storjenega kaznivega dejanja. Prav tako sem raziskovala, s katerimi načini je Dob skušal rešiti prostorsko stisko in katerih načinov se še vedno poslužuje.

• Title: ENFORCEMENT OF CRIMINAL SANTIONS: THE CASE STUDY OF PRISON DOB

Abstract

Law enforcement is important for every country as long as it works within the boundaries of rules and it ensures order and discipline. Law is important, so that individuals know what is in store for them when they break it. The crutial parts of law enforcement are presented by authorities who uphold the law to make prisons safer for the staff and convicts. Prison is not just some walls and bars, it is an important part of life for the convict for he needs to be prepared for the life outside the prison and it must be insured he never breaks the law again. Based on this, I chose to research the Correctional Institution Dob to find out what kind of life the convicts have and how this institution is dealing with the problem of overcrowding. With the help of the comparative and the descriptional method I researched annual reports of the Correctional Institution Dob, where I analysed the structure of convicts based on their age, length of serving their sentence and what they were sentenced for. I also researched what kind of methods Dob used to solve overcrowding and what methods it's still using.
