The diploma work is based on the enabling of tribological tests of the sliding properties of the material Vyncolit X655RB. It deals with the process of designing a prototype injection moulding tool for fabricating sliding rings from duroplast and it also comprises simulations as well as the comparison between actual and simulation results.
We simulated the process of plastic injection moulding and, based on the results, we designed and made necessary adjustments to the existing tool. By doing so, we eliminated the generated faults and made sliding rings. We then compared them with the results of the simulations and given requirements.
Based on the results, we established the relevance and satisfactory quality of the products, which will be used in further tribological research of the material.
