Abstract
Praktični del razkrije namen in cilje diplomske naloge.

Title:Development and the definition of animation techniques of a 3D character for a production of animation film
Abstract:
The diploma thesis titled Development and the definition of animation techniques of a 3D character for a production of animation film involves an explanation of building a system for motion control of a certain character for the purpose of animaton. The process of building such a system is a process that needs to be addressed in several stages. First of all, it is necessary to decide what the expected end product is, as well as in what way and with which programs it will be made. Only after that a development of one's own idea is possible. It is also advisable to examine some examples of good practice that can help with providing a development and realization of a certain idea. For the successful production of an animated film, all the elements that will be included in the finished product should be carefully planned. The diploma work is divided into two parts. The first, theoretical part, focuses primarily on the study of the history of the development of 3D characters, and also includes the presentation of examples of good practice, which can be used as an inspiration while making a short animated film. The theoretical part also contains an explanation of the process of making animation, as well as the interpretation of some concepts that will be mentioned during the course of the animation production. The practical part reveals the purpose and goals of the diploma thesis. It focuses primarily on the process of producing a short animated film and describes all the stages involved in the production, which are the development of a story, a scene and a character, followed by a presentation of animation techniques in the construction of a system for controlling the movement of a character. At the end of the diploma thesis the analysis of the rendered scenes that are included in the film is presented, as well as a critical assessment of the created content. At this point the possibilities of improving the final product are also mentioned
