Abstract
V našo raziskavo smo zajeli slovenske skakalce in študente Biotehniške fakultete, smer Živilstvo in prehrana.

Title:Orthorexia among ski jumpers and students
Abstract:
Orthorexia is a modern eating disorder where a person is obsessed with a healthy, perfect way of eating in a way that potentially can threaten other aspects of life. It occurs in different groups of people. Our survey was carried out among Slovenian ski jumpers and students of Biotechnical Faculty, Department of Food Science and Technology. The aim was to determine frequency of orthorexia by using ORTO-15 test. The questionnaire also included calculation of body mass index (BMI), which was used to screen nourishment of orthorexic respondents. Groups of jumpers and students are comparable according to the frequency of orthorexia. The survey showed that 69% of ski jumpers have symptoms of orthorexia. Among group of students, there were 74% respondents with the same symptoms. Survey showed that orthorexia among women students is more frequent than ski jumpers, while there is no difference among man students and ski jumpers (73%). With MBI analysis, we found out that 81% of orthorexic ski jumpers are healthy and 9% of them are underweight. On the other hand, there are 74% healthy, 13% overweight and 9% underweight orthorexic students. Interestingly, in both groups there were only women that were underweight.
