This thesis explores electricity savings in a dishwasher with the installation of a heat exchanger. Due to unused waste water in the dishwasher, we have higher electricity consumption. These losescan be partially recovered using a heat exchanger.
The most suitable type of heat exchanger was selected. Simulations in the Fluent program were carried out on the designed spiral heat exchanger. Based on the results of the simulations, the heat exchanger was manufactured. Using the performed measurements of electricity savings we analyzed the effect of installation of a heat exchanger for the needs of recovery. It was found that with the use of a spiral heat exchanger in one washing energy saving would save 12.57% of the electricity compared to a conventional dishwasher.
