Abstract
V gospodinjstvih sta še vedno najbolj pogosti navedeni dve obliki stenskega koledarja. Vsi koledarji so bili oblikovani v programih Adobe Illustrator in Adobe Indesign.

Title:Planning and production of calendars for different purposes
Abstract:
A series of three calendars was designed in the context of the Diploma Thesis: twelve sheet wall calendar, poster calendar and pocket calendar. These two types of wall calendars are still be the most commonly found in Slovenian households. All three calendars have the same thematic thread, i.e. Slovenian folk proverbs about the weather. One proverb was selected for each month and is accompanied by a vector graphic. In addition to its decorative function, the twelve sheet calendar has planner features, i.e. it has enough space for user's notes. Both national and religious (Roman Catholic) holidays are marked on this calendar. The poster calendar contains all name days (names of Roman Catholic saints). The pocket calendar has designs on both sides. One side represents the calendar part in the form of tables, while the other is decorated with an illustration that represents the 4 seasons; the same illustration was used for the other two calendars. Before creating the calendars, a research on the term “calendar”, its history, structure and types was conducted. We also included notes about Slovenian proverbs and traditional names of months. The analysis of the questionnaire on calendar usage is presented in the section on results. The results indicated that it is important to both young and old population that a calendar has a decorative function, whilst it simultaneously functions as a planner. The empirical part describes the process of designing the calendars from their inception to the final solutions used. Each of the three calendars was designed using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign. At the end, a discussion on solutions, description of elements used (colours, typography) and general forms of calendars can be found.
