Abstract
Neplodnost je bolezen, ki je v sodobnem svetu vse pogosteje diagnosticirana. Vzrokov neplodnosti je veliko, eden izmed njih je imunska neplodnost. Imunsko stanje je pomembno pri zagotavljanju optimalnih pogojev za potovanje ženskih in moških spolnih celic po ženskem genitalnem traktu, njihovo združitev ter kasneje ugnezditev, rast in razvoj. Težave, povezane z imunsko neplodnostjo, se pojavljajo na različnih nivojih in jih je mnogokrat težko ustrezno ovrednotiti. Glavno orodje za zmanjšanje neplodnosti, povezane z imunskimi motnjami, je supresija ali regulacija imunskega sistema s pomočjo imunoterapije.

Title:The Role of Immune Status in Infertility
Abstract:
In the modern world, infertility is an increasingly diagnosed disease. There are many causes of infertility, immune infertility being one of them. When it comes to ensuring the optimum conditions for the transport of female and male gametes through the female genital tract, the implantation, and the growth and development of the gametes, the immune status plays an important role. Fertility problems arise at various levels and are thus often difficultly assessed properly. The infertility caused by the immune disorders can be decreased with the help of immunotherapy, which causes immunosupression or immunoregulation.
