In the bachelor’s thesis, I set myself a goal of making a product from the idea to the final product. This means the development of a printed circuit board, the production of a printed circuit board, and the production of a mechanical part. In my free time, I also deal with mechanics and it was also a challenge to produce a mechanical part.
In the practical part, I first made a circuit with an Arduino board and a test board when the circuit was working. Then, I drew a schematic diagram and the printed circuit with the program Eagle CadSoft. I wanted to etch PCB at home, which I managed. However, the dimensions and the design of PCB was quite large, so I drew a small two-sided PCB and sent it to the company that produces PCBs in Germany. I soldered the components on the PCB and loaded the Arduino bootloader to Atmega328au and wrote the program. The program is crucial because it is the connection between the Ultrasonic welding machine and the stepper motor. I mounted the printed circuit board, the OLED display, and the buttons into the casing. I made the aluminum frame for the stepper motor. I connected the winder with an ultrasonic welder and I had to configure and correctly set the output type. In the end, I got a working machine that facilitates work in the production. This way, work can be done faster and the machine operator in less tired.
