The thesis deals with a section of a circular pipe, which is clamped in a rigid support and is subject to pressure load of a fluid and temperature change. The problem is analyzed by considering various geometric simplifications. As the simplest approach, the problem is first analyzed with the use of axisymmetric examples, which are in practice part solved analytically. Furthermore, the problem is treated as a two-dimensional problem, taking into account the assumptions of plane stress and plane strain conditions. Due to the complexity of the treatment, finite element method is used to solve the cases. Finally, a calculation is made considering a three-dimensional problem, which is also solved by the finite element method. Based on the obtained stress-strain conditions, the approaches are compared and evaluated.
