Abstract

Title:Water vapour transport through building structure
Abstract:
This thesis focuses on water vapour transport through building structures, which relies on diffusion flux of water vapour molecules as its mechanism. That can sometimes lead to excessive accumulation of moisture, which brings unwanted consequences. The example of residential building structure discussed in this thesis is analysed using Glaser method for monthly water vapour transport analysis. The results indicate presence of moisture accumulation but also show that according to standards the building structure is properly designed.
