Abstract
Učna analitika je novo in hitro rastoče področje. Izvira iz različnih orodij za analitiko, kot so poslovna inteligenca (ang. business intelligence), spletna analitika (ang. web analytics) in priporočilni sistemi (ang. recommender systems). Ferguson je leta 2012 opredelil tri glavne gonilnike, na katerih temelji razvoj učne analike: veliki podatki (ang. Big Data) (“Kako lahko iz velikih, z učenjem povezanih množic podatkov, izluščino njihovo vrednost?”), spletno učenje (ang. online learning) (“Kako lahko optimiziramo priložnosti za spletno učenje?”) in politično zanimanje (ang. political concern) (“Kako lahko optimiziramo učne in izobraževalne rezultate na nacionalni ali internacionalni ravni?”). Brown (2011) je opredelil, da učna analitika temelji na zbiranju in analizi podatkov, povezanih z učenjem učencev. Glavni cilj učne analitike je torej opazovanje in razumevanje učnega vedenja z namenom oblikovanja ustreznih ukrepov. Namen diplomske naloge je raziskati možnost uporabe učne analitike v računalniški izobraževalni igri, oziroma narediti pregled relevantne literature o učni analitiki s posebnim poudarkom na uporabi le-teh v računalniških izobraževalnih igrah. Področja, ki jih bo vključeval pregled literature, so učna analitika, izobraževalne igre in učna analitika v izobraževalnih igrah. V empiričnem delu diplomskega dela se bomo osredotočili na izdelavo načrta igre, ki bo vseboval učno analitiko, kamor uvrščamo predvsem prilagoditve računalniške igre glede na učne zmožnosti učencev. Raziskali bomo različna orodja, ki jih bomo potrebovali za izdelavo izobraževalne igre in vpeljavo učne analitike v izobraževalno igro, skupaj s sledenjem in zbiranjem podatkov.

Title:Learning analytics in serious games
Abstract:
Learning analytics is a new and fast-growing field. It originates from different analytic tools, such as business intelligence, web analytics and recommender systems. Ferguson (2012) describes three main factors driving the development of learning analytics. Those factors are big data (“How can we extract value from these big sets of learning-related data?”), online learning (“How can we optimize opportunities for online learning?”) and political concern (“How can we optimize learning and educational results at national or international level?”). Brown (2011) defines, that learning analytics is based on collecting and analyzing data connected to students. Main goal of learning analytics represents the observation and understanding of learning behavior, with purpose to design appropriate measures. In the theoretical part of this undergraduate degree I am using a descriptive method with a study of the foreign literature. Main fields, which are described in the overview of the literature are learning analytics, serious games and learning analytics in serious games. In the empirical part, I am presenting a plan for a game, with a learning analytics integrated in it. When we think of learning analytics in the game, we mean different types of game adaptation according to students interests and capabilities. Main goal is to think about the technologies needed to make a game, which will be using learning analytics.
