Homeopathy is a holistic system of health based on the principle likes cures like (similia similibus curentur). This alternative medicine is creative by Samuel Hahnemann in 18th century. Homeopathy has many folowers and users around the world and is individually regulated by each country. Slovenia is a unique example in European union, since is the only state in which a doctor as the only authorized prescriber of medicines for use in human medicine, can not prescribe homeopathic medicine because it is strictly prohibited for medical doctors to practise homeopathy. It is regulated by law, only medical doctors are allowed to practice homeopathy, but in that case they lose their licence to practice conventional medicine. The state deliberately discriminates doctors with additional knowledge of homeopathy. The purpose of following thesis is to find out the reasones for this situation.
