Avdio deskripcija kot prilagoditev za osebe s slepoto in slabovidnostjo : magistrsko delo

V magistrskem delu je obravnavana avdio deskripcija, kot možnost dostopa do kulturnih vsebin osebam s slepoto in slabovidnostjo. Cilj magistrskega dela je analiza priprave avdio deskripcije za gledališko predstavo, s katero želimo predstaviti vpogled v pripravo avdio deskripcije. V teoretičnem uvodu smo predstavili razvoj avdio deskripcije kot načina dostopanja do kulture in zabave. Raziskali smo tudi področje avdio deskripcije v Sloveniji, kjer pa je trenutno stanje prilagojenih vsebin daleč od normativov, ki jih imajo v večini zahodno evropskih držav. Nadalje smo predstavili napotke za pripravo avdio deskripcije. Ker lahko metodo avdio deskripcije uporabljamo na različnih področjih, smo glede na značilnosti razdelili področja priprave avdio deskripcije za muzejske in galerijske zbirke, za področje filma in televizije ter za področje odrskih umetnosti. V magistrskem delu je prikazana izdelava avdio deskripcije za gledališko predstavo. Za gledališko predstavo smo se odločili, ker je v Sloveniji izmed prej omenjenih treh področij najmanj projektov avdio deskripcije prav na področju odrskih umetnosti. Z raziskavo smo želeli dobiti informacije o tem, kako poteka priprava avdio deskripcije. Želeli smo informacije o časovnem okviru priprave, o strokovnjakih in drugih osebah, ki sodelujejo pri pripravi avdio deskripcije ter o sami tehnični plati izvedbe. Do realizacije avdio deskripcije po predlogi iz magistrskega dela, zaradi neustrezne tehnične opreme, še ni prišlo, vendar bomo v prihodnje poskušali tudi to uresničiti. V magistrskemu delu smo se poslužili kvalitativnega raziskovalnega pristopa. Delo predstavlja uvod oziroma izhodišče v raziskovanje avdio deskripcije in bo lahko v pomoč tistim, ki se bodo v prihodnje začeli aktivneje ukvarjati z avdio deskripcijo.

Abstract

In the master thesis we introduced an audio description as one of the possibilities to make cultural contents closer to people with visual impairment. The objective was to analyse the preparation of the audio description for a theatre performance wherewith we wanted to show the preparation of an audio description. In the theoretical part there was presented the audio description development, a fairly new way of accessing the culture and entertainment. Furthermore, we explored the area of audio description in Slovenia. The results have revealed that adapted contents do not meet the standards at all in comparison to other countries in Western Europe. The following step was to present our instructions on how to prepare an audio description. Since the method of audio description can be used in different areas we divided the areas of preparing audio description to museum and gallery collections, to movie and television area and to the area of stage art. In this master thesis we presented the production of audio description for a theatre performance. The decision to create this particular theatre performance was due to the fact that in Slovenia there are only few successful projects in the area of theatre performance, least of all, compared to other stage arts mentioned before. The aim of this research was to obtain some information about the procedure of the audio description preparation. The most relevant data was the information about the preparation time frame, the number of experts and other people that collaborated in the audio description preparation and also about the technical side of an execution. The execution of the audio description presented in this master thesis has not been realized yet due to inappropriate technical equipment. We hope that this project will be carried out in the near future. In this master thesis a qualitative research approach was used which represents the introduction or better yet the starting point for further research of audio description and it can be helpful to those who will work actively on audio description further more.
