The purpose of this thesis it to optimize the heat control system in the offices of the company GO-RO LIV d.o.o. Since popularity of predictive control is increasing, I will use a simple predictive control for this system.
Offices are heated through underfloor heating. Underfloor water is heated by the heat pump, although heat can also be obtained from the factory, via cooling of foundry machines. Before my thesis the underfloor heating was getting hot water only from a heat pump. The temperature of the offices was adjusted with the heat pump heat curve. Due to the alternative source of heated water, a substantial energy saving can be achieved. Offices will be heated with factory-derived water whenever it will be possible.
I have designed the control system in TwinCAT 3, because I know it well. Simulink models can be integrated in TwinCAT 3, and the programming environment also includes an add-on for TCP/IP protocol, which was also useful for completing the given task.
