The purpose of the thesis was to determine the economic viability of the cross-box selection. For this purpose we analyzed the frames of different ranges and heights. In the diploma thesis, only two types of frames that are the most commonly used in Slovenia are considered, namely, a torque frame from hot rolled profiles and a torque frame with a bar. Two different steel grades were used for both systems. Loads on the frame were determined according to the Eurocode standard. We took into account the fact that the facility is located either in Koper or Ljubljana. In Scia Enginer we performed static analyzes and determined the weight of the cross-frame system. Company Trimo d.o.o. provided us with prices for the production of transverse frames and the cost of materials. On the basis of the prices of the production and supply of materials, the price of the cross-frame was determined. On the basis of all the analyzes and obtained data, we found out how to choose the frame effect system on the price. We showed the level of prices by range and height. We have found that the price falling with range and increases with height. In the end, we presented the difference in price between the facility in Koper and Ljubljana. Regardless of the frame system, it turned out that for all assumptions the object in Ljubljana is more expensive than in Koper.
