Abstract
V magistrskem delu je predstavljena problematika segrevanja motorjev zaradi nastalih izgub v različnih obratovalnih stanjih. Največji delež izgub predstavljajo izgube v železu in bakru. Namen naloge je bil zgraditi sklopljen elektromagnetni in termični model motorja, ki bi upošteval termično odvisnost izgub v bakru. V prvem delu naloge smo zgradili numerični model motorja s trajnimi magneti in opravili elektromagnetno analizo. Pridobljene rezultate modeliranja smo verificirali na podlagi meritev. Nato smo na podlagi izračunov glavnih termičnih stikov zgradili termični model motorja. V nadaljevanju smo opravili sklopljeno elektromagnetno in termično analizo ter s tem ovrednotili vpliv termičnih lastnosti na elektromagnetne lastnosti motorja. V zadnjem delu smo z vpeljavo skupnega utorskega materiala poenostavili termični model in obenem zmanjšali porabo računalniške moči. Delo predstavlja pomemben korak k razvoju sklopljenih elektromagnetnih in termičnih analiz. Pridobljeno znanje se lahko koristno uporabi tako za izračun izgub, kakor tudi za analizo ostalih temperaturno odvisnih pojavov v motorjih.

Title:Coupled electromagnetic and thermal analysis of permanent magnet motor
Abstract:
This master thesis is focused on analysis of motor heating problems occurring due to ohmic losses within different operation conditions. The main goal of the thesis is development of a two way coupled electromagnetic and thermal model, in which temperature dependent copper losses are taken into account. In the first part of the thesis, numeric model of electrical motor with permanent magnets was built. Simulation results obtained with electromagnetic analysis were successfully verified with experimental measurements. The thermal analysis was performed based on the numerical modelling and analysis of the most critical thermal contacts in the machine. The electromagnetic and thermals models were than coupled in order to analyse the influence of the thermal properties on the electromagnetic properties of the motor. Within the final part of the thesis we modelled the machine slot by assigning uniform material properties in order to simplify the thermal calculations and to reduce computer memory usage. The results presented in this master thesis represent an important step towards development of two-way coupled electromagnetic and thermal analysis. In addition, the acquired knowledge could be also used for analysis of other temperature dependent phenomena in the motor.
