Abstract

Title:US FOREIGN POLICY
Abstract:
The thesis deals with foreign policy in general and specifically for the USA as one of the key actors in the international arena. The main purpose of the thesis is to identify and analyze the US foreign policy in terms of different approaches and highlight key events throughout history. Studying sources and literature with the descriptive methodology of work, three hypotheses are set: i) When viewing various important historical events at the international level, it turns out that the United States is truly a key force in the world, which has almost always played a decisive role and consequently determines the course of history. ii) During the time of the two world wars, it was shown that the reason for the entry of the USA into war can be found in their cross-border economy, although, at least in political terms, USA declared neutrality. iii) Based on the study of the various activities of the various US administrations that reflect the nature of the approach to foreign policy (realism, idealism) and parallel situations in the international system, it can be assumed that foreign policy is always a struggle between internal initiatives to achieve the interests of the state and the external environment, which is also the essence of the definition of foreign policy. The thesis represents a useful compilation of the fundamentals of the theory of foreign policy in general, and shows an indicative chronological overview of the US foreign policy, thus updating and complementing the findings of previous similar theses.
