Abstract
V teoretičnem delu naloge sta raziskana feminizem v urbani glasbi in vloga ženske glasbene izvajalke v sodobni urbani glasbi. Opisani so primeri ženskih figur, ki so svoja feministična načela izražale prek glasbe in mode. V eksperimentalnem delu je oblikovana kolekcija športno-elegantnih ženskih oblačil, navdahnjena s hip-hop, ulično modo in širšo afroameriško kulturo. Predstavljeni so koncept kolekcije z izhodiščem, uporabljena ročna dela, vzorci, ciljna skupina in skice posameznih oblačil.

Title:Presentation of fashion collection trough music video
Abstract:
The aim of the thesis was to design a fashion line for women inspired by urban fashion and music and to show it throughout my music video. The FRSHR fashion line was created along with my original music and music video for my song ‘Sheby–Se Prepoznaš?’ (Sheby–Do You Recognize Yourself?). Fashion and music are inextricably linked to urban culture. On the one hand, music industry provides fashion with a wide platform that shows it to the broader public. On the other hand, fashion provides musicians with a powerful means of expression and allows them to present themselves as a whole. The theoretical part of the thesis presents the impact of fashion on music and vice versa, taking hip-hop culture as a starting point. The designers who influenced the street fashion development and collaborations between musicians and fashion designers are presented as well. I also discuss music videos along with their different purposes. The following part focuses on the elements of feminism in urban music and the role of female musicians in contemporary urban music. This subject is further discussed based on female hip hop musicians and some examples of women who reflected their feminist principles in music and fashion. However, the practical part of the thesis introduces the process of designing a sporty chic line for women inspired by hip hop, street style and Afro-American culture. I presented the concept and design of the fashion line, all the elements made by hand, the patterns, the target group and the sketches of individual garments. In addition, the concept of the music video for the song ‘Se Prepoznaš’ and its connection to the FRSHR line are also described. The stylings for the entire music video, which are presented as photographs taken during the shooting of the music video, are the final result of the thesis.
