This diploma thesis attempts to embrace historical opus of Lea Fatur which includes five longer stories. Lea Fatur was a well-educated woman; she also put a strong emphasis on history in which she became interested at a young age. She complemented her knowledge by imagination and thus wrote historical novels which capture her dreams and desires. Trying to provide national awareness, she chose a variety of historical topics, particularly the Slavic ones. Therefore, she undertook the Turks, Uskoks and Napoleon on Slovenian soil as well as the war between Sweden and Poland. In real historical events, she placed mostly fictional literary characters; however, historically attested persons are also present in every part.
