Numerična simulacija taljenja v dvodimenzionalni kotanji

Abstract
Navadno se zaradi temperaturnih razlik pri taljenju snovi v kapljevini pojavi konvekcija. Ta bistveno poveča prenos toplote kar neposredno vpliva na položaj medfaznega roba. V delu je predstavljen primer izračuna časovnega poteka taljenja čiste snovi v dvodimenzionalni pravokotni kotanji od trenutka, ko je temperatura stranske stene postavljena nad temperaturo tališča. Poleg položaja medfaznega roba so prikazani še temperaturno in hitrostno polje ter časovni potek Nusseltovega števila. Račun je izveden z metodo kontrolnih prostornin na neenakomerni fiksni mreži. Temelji na enofaznem modelu oziroma modelu kontinuumske mešanice, ki definira krajevno odvisno funkcijo deleža posamezne faze.

Title:Numerical simulation of melting in two-dimensional cavity
Abstract:
Because of the differences in temperature which are present in the melt, convection usually appears. Convective heat transfer directly influences the position of the solid-liquid interphase. Numerical simulation of melting of pure substance in rectangular two-dimensional cavity is presented in this work. Melting is observed from the moment when one side wall's temperature is set above melting point. Besides the front position, velocity field, temperature field and Nusselt number are also observed. The control volume method with non uniform fixed grid is used for the calculation. It is based on the continuum (one-phase) model which defines space dependent phase fraction function.
