Abstract
Cimetna kislina in njeni derivati so naravno prisotne spojine, ki jih najdemo v sadju, zelenjavi, začimbah, čaju in vinu. Izkazujejo številne biološke učinke, med katerimi izstopajo antioksidativno, protivnetno, protimikrobno, protitumorno, antidiabetično in hepatoprotektivno delovanje. V članku predstavljamo glavne derivate cimetne kisline, njihove biološke učinke in potencialno uporabo pri preprečevanju in zdravljenju različnih bolezni.
