Abstract

Abstract:
The paper describes the development of writing and the appearance of diverse written records in the Southeast Mediterranean. The development of distinct writing and literature among South Slavic nations is described through examples of medieval legal texts. Those examples are proof for the existence of different lingual forms (formats) and discourses in the Slavic tradition.
