Izvleček
We describe a hybrid model for propagated excitaion in three-dimensional human ventricles. The subtreshold behaviour of the excitable elements is governed by a reaction-diffusion equation derived from the bidomain theory, while in the supratreshold state the elements obey cellular automata rules. The ventricles consist of two million discrete cubes (cells) with the side length of 0.5 mm. Each cell is assigned a principal fiber direction according to the fiber arhitecture in the human heart. We have also implemented a method for interactive creation and manipulation of a conduction system in our computer model. The conduction system was defined interactively in terms of nodes and a connectivity matrix. To validate the conduction system, simulation were run where the activation propagated from the His bundle to Purkinje-myocardial junction sites and through the ventricular myocardium. The simulated activation sequence agreed with isochrones obtained from an isolated human heart. The calculated body surface potential and magnetocardiographic maps during QRS complex correlated well with our clinical recordings on normal subjects.
