Abstract
New amphiphilic nitroxide spin probes have been synthesized. The key reaction is based on microwaveassisted epoxide ring opening with amines as nucleophilesusing calcium trifluoromethanesulfonate as a catalyst. High yields, in short reaction times, were obtained without any detectable nitroxide decomposition.
