Abstract
Raziskava je potekala na dveh ravneh: kot kvantitativna študija vrednotnih usmeritev in življenjskih stilov mladih v Sloveniji, ki je bila del jugoslovanske raziskave "Položaj, svest i ponašanje mlade generacije Jugoslavije", ter kot kvalitativna študija, v okviru katere je bila opravljena analiza diskurza o mladini v revijah Mladina in Tribuna, v obdobju 1945-1985 ter globinski intervjuji s predstavniki družbenih gibanj. Osnovni cilj kvantitativne študije je bil opisati življenjske razmere, socialni položaj, vrednotne orientacije in prakse mladih ter ugotoviti temeljne dejavnike njihovega oblikovanja.

Abstract:
The Slovene part of the study was planed in collaboration with Yugoslav partners and was later extended in studies "Youth 1993" and "Youth 1995". Besides the socio-demographics variables the questionnaire includes the following topics: socio-economic position of the respondent and his family, value orientations, attitudes toward future, young people's problems, perception of youth, life perspectives and orientations, leisure time activities, personality character, religious and national attitudes, political attitudes and political activity, attitudes toward social change and some other.
