To know the customer and to know his habits, wishes and needs means to be able to compete in the miscellaneous furniture market in Slovenia. We tried to show the furniture salons; coverage with regard to the number of inhabitantsin different cities and regions. Our research is based on inquiries about salon size, number of employees, storeroom sizes, number of suppliers, and product assortment. Previously done statistic analysis helped us to create an actual picture of how the furniture stores are spread over the country. It was found out that most stores are situated in the Slovenian capital and surrounding regions, and the least in the Zasavje region, where other industries are also below average.
