Abstract
Šaržni biološki reaktor (SBR) je sistem z aktivnim blatom, ki se danes uspešno uporablja za čiščenje komunalnih in industrijskih odpadnih vod. Pogosto imajo SBR reaktorji predhodno nameščene biološke selektorje, v katerih so ustvarjeni optimalni pogoji za rast flokotvornih bakterij, ki zagotavljajo dobre pogoje za usedanje blata ter neprimerni pogoji za rast nitastih (filamentoznih) bakterij. V diplomski nalogi sem opisal vzroke za razrast nitastih mikroorganizmov ter poiskal rešitve za zmanjšanje njihovega deleža v aktivnem blatu, hkrati pa predstavil proces biološke obdelave odpadne vode z aktivnim selektorjem v postopku SBR, z namenom preprečevanja napihovanja in penjenja blata.

Title:The significance of selectors in SBR reactors : graduation thesis
Abstract:
A sequencing batch reactor (SBR) is a type of activated sludge system, which is nowadays successfully used for the treatment of communal and industrial wastwater. SBR reactors often contain bio-selectors, which comprise of optimal conditions for the growth of floc-forming bacteria (providing good conditions for sludge settleability) and infavourable conditions for the growth of filamentous bacteria. In the dissertation I described the grounds for the ramifying of filamentous microorganisms and found solutions for decreasing their amount in activated sludge. At the same time I presented the process of biological treatment of wastewater with the active selector in the SBR process, with the intent to prevent bulking and foaming of the sludge.
