20.500.12556/RUL-171131 Real-time volumetric explosion special effects for games Video game special effects are usually created using sprites or simplistic triangle meshes with added textures, which is a good compromise between performance and quality. This paper presents an implementation of a real-time volumetric explosion effect that aims to enhance realism in video games while seamlessly integrating the volume into a 3D scene, allowing it to interact with the environment. The effect is rendered in a web environment using JavaScript and WebGPU. Our implementation uses ray marching for volume rendering, integrating a transfer function for color mapping, noise functions for adding natural variation, and bloom post-processing to enhance fire illumination. The contribution of this paper is to demonstrate the rendering possibilities and growing support of volumetric special effects for more interactive and immersive web applications and video games. real-time rendering volumetric effects WebGPU ray marching game development realnočasovno upodabljanje volumetrični efekti WebGPU korakanje vzdolž žarka true false true Angleški jezik Slovenski jezik Članek v reviji 2025-08-07 12:14:33 2025-08-07 12:14:34 2025-08-08 04:07:54 0000-00-00 00:00:00 2025 0 0 Str. 323-333 0000-00-00 Zaloznikova Objavljeno NiDoloceno 0000-00-00 0000-00-00 0000-00-00 004.92 2464-4617 244517635 244517123 RAZ_Raseta_Marta_2025.pdf RAZ_Raseta_Marta_2025.pdf 1 B9A5F381F346C12B2CFF2F4E770CC205 c1edf3863b10e3558149b2ff19ec0b50560939132b7f7cb61af8cbe1efce3a3d 9fbca2c0-7377-11f0-9328-0050569b8976 https://repozitorij.uni-lj.si/Dokument.php?lang=slv&id=214028 Fakulteta za računalništvo in informatiko 0 0 0
