<Opis>The pursuit of a reliable energy storage system, environmentally affordable and efficient opens the pathway for the sodium ion batteries in the large-scale application market. At the same time, all-solid-state batteries (ASSBs) attract the attention as promising candidates because of their enhanced safety and the possibility of an increase in the energy density. The present work aims to investigate both the NASICON type Na3.4Zr2Si2.4P0.6O12 (NZSP) solid electrolyte and Na3V2(PO4)3 (NVP) electrode material for the fabrication of a symmetric ASSB. The main focus of this project is to get some insight on the synthesis/sintering conditions (by solid state reaction (SSR), spark plasma sintering (SPS) and a combination of both) of the NZSP solid electrolyte and how these can affect its electrochemical performance. XRD, DSC, SEM/EDX and EIS are performed in order to correlate the structural, morphological, thermal and ionic conductivity properties of the material. NVP sintering conditions were studied and the material was characterized by XRD, DSC and SEM/EDX. These parameters were used for the optimization of the properties in order to assemble the symmetric ASSB, which was examined by SEM/EDX and tested with GCPL.</Opis>
