The flexible rotation of rotary harrows in the soil reduces soil resistance forces, minimizing friction and soil erosion, while enhancing operational efficiency and the service life of the implement. The theoretical contact of the primary working body with the soil was evaluated, establishing key functional dependencies among the parameters. The analysis indicates that increasing the tooth length on the rotor results in larger rotation angles (φ1 and φ2) and deeper soil loosening. However, excessively long teeth increase the rotor’s cultivation step, which adversely affects the fragmentation of soil clods. This theoretical framework enables the determination of the effective working path length of an individual tooth during one complete rotor revolution. Overall, these theoretical and kinematic insights provide the geometric basis for designing flexible toothed rotor harrows, a novel structural configuration of which was granted a patent by the Russian State Patent Committee (RU 2725732 C1).</dc:description><dc:date>2026</dc:date><dc:date>2026-10-07 13:31:51</dc:date><dc:type>Članek v reviji</dc:type><dc:identifier>189468</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>UDK: 631</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>ISSN pri članku: 1854-1941</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>DOI: 10.14720/aas.2026.122.3.21765</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>COBISS_ID: 294034691</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></metadata>
