It outlines the corpus design, learner metadata, and essay characteristics, highlighting its comparability with other ICLE subcorpora. The paper reviews contrastive Slovene-English studies and relevant ICLE-based research, showing how ICLE-Slovenia enables empirical testing of hypotheses from previous work and supports contrastive interlanguage analysis (CIA) investigations into L1 transfer, learner-specific grammatical and lexical patterns, and cross-variety clustering.
