In the labor market, this inequality is most often reflected in gender-based differences in salaries, limited access to management positions, greater representation of women in insecure and lower-paid jobs, and expectations related to balancing professional and family obligations. The paper analyzes the experiences of women on the labor market in Montenegro, with a focus on gender equality and the challenges they face in the professional environment. Through interviews with ten women from different sectors, factors such as wages, promotion, stereotypes, balance between private and work life, and specific challenges for women with disabilities and those in seasonal jobs were investigated. The results indicate the presence of gender discrimination, although there were also differences in experiences depending on the industry. Although women in Montenegro are progressing in the labor market, they face obstacles that are deeply rooted in social norms and economic structures. It is recommended to continue education, implement support through mentoring, and change legislation in order to ensure equal opportunities for all women in the labor market.M.
