This approach allows for a dynamic understanding of regime behaviour, capturing intra-regime shifts without requiring reclassification. The typology innovatively distinguishes between personalist regimes, ideocracies, and hybrid forms, providing a nuanced framework for analysing contemporary and historical political systems.
