Through a qualitative approach, utilizing deductive thematic analysis and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model, the thesis aims to uncover the attitudes, expectations, and challenges surrounding blockchain adoption in this sector. Key findings reveal that while blockchain is recognized for its potential to improve transparency and provenance, significant barriers such as technical complexity, lack of institutional support, and ethical concerns—particularly regarding environmental impact—hinder its broader acceptance. Moreover, findings indicate a sense of hesitation among interview participants, who express uncertainty about the long-term viability of blockchain technology in the art market. This apprehension is compounded by concerns over the scalability of blockchain solutions for a diverse and globalized art community. Additionally, participants noted that the lack of clear regulations and legal frameworks further complicates the adoption process, creating ambiguity around rights management and intellectual property. The thesis concludes that targeted education and institutional endorsement are crucial for overcoming these challenges and facilitating wider adoption of blockchain technology within the art market.</dc:description><dc:publisher>K.
