It first introduces the rich tradition of Chinese hermeneutics and then analyses its possible dialogues with European hermeneutic methods, especially Gadamer’s “fusion of horizons”. It identifies some methodological problems inherent in this method and, on this basis, proposes the application of a new hermeneutic method that may be more suitable for the interpreta-tion of traditional Chinese metaphysical and literary texts. It is based on the tradition-al philosophical-aesthetic notion of jingjie境界. The author preliminarily refers to this method as a “fusion of aesthetic realms”.</dc:description><dc:date>2023</dc:date><dc:date>2023-01-16 15:03:44</dc:date><dc:type>Članek v reviji</dc:type><dc:identifier>143865</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>UDK: 1(510)</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>ISSN pri članku: 2232-5131</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>DOI: 10.4312/as.2023.11.1.299-316</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>COBISS_ID: 137969923</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></metadata>
