Knowledge of copyright law in Bosnia and Herzegovina among publishers - librarians - to end usersSmajić, Muamera (Avtor) Južnič, Primož (Mentor) Kovač, Miha (Komentor) This paper presents the research about the knowledge of Copyright Law in Bosnia and Herzegovina which was carried out among the three selected groups. The first group consisted of publishers, owners of publishing houses or employees of the publishing houses whose jobs require knowledge of copyright laws. The second group covered librarians, who work in university or faculty libraries. And the third group consisted users of university or faculty libraries. The users' research group focused on students from different faculties who use university or faculty libraries. The objective of the analysis was to determine the extent of awareness and knowledge among the three target groups. We wanted to find out how familiar they are with copyright legislation and its application. Otherwise, there has been arguing in the country that Copyright Law does not apply and that it is greatly violated. We wanted to find out how this affects these three groups whose work and activities largely depend on this Law. From the obtained results, we realized that all three groups of respondents, more or less, are not sufficiently familiar with Copyright Law and that they need adequate education to undertake their work or use protected works without violation of Law. The research supposed to show the extent to which the subjects in focus understand, know and practise the copyright related laws.
