The individual and collective characteristics of stress are described as well as the role of social support and the difference between job stress and professional burnout. The advantages and disadvantages of psychological models of stress at workplace, such as Michigan organisational stress model, job demands-job control and support model and Warr's model of nine environmental influences, are presented. Sources of job stress are categorized and illustrated with the recent empirical studies. Special attention is given to the gender differences in the experience of stress. The proposal for systems and dynamic approach for stress research, which takes into account the social, cognitive and emotional aspects of stress, is elaborated.</dc:description><dc:date>2002</dc:date><dc:date>2014-07-11 12:48:41</dc:date><dc:type>Delo ni kategorizirano</dc:type><dc:identifier>5635</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></rdf:Description></rdf:RDF>
