A total of 1,053 concordance lines retrieved from SketchEngine were analyzed using Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), focusing on microstructural elements (Stylistic Framing, Euphemism, Agency Obfuscation, Formatting for Emotion, Proximity Emphasis, and Metaphor) and macrostructural elements (Sensationalism, Romantizciation of Violence, Victim–Perpetrator Relationship, Patriarchal Framing, Systemic Blame, and Quasi-humor). The findings demonstrate that Serbian reporting is heavily marked by sensationalist language (38.2%), with particularly frequent use of Stylistic Framing (71.3%), Euphemistic expressions (57.4%), and Agency Obfuscation (36.9%). American media, while more often neutral in tone (22.7%), still reveals firm reliance on Stylistic Framing (69.6%), Euphemisms (50%), and Agency Obfuscation (26,1%). At the macrostructural level, both corpora overwhelmingly employ Sensationalism 83.6% in Serbian; 95.7% in American, alongside Romanticization of Violence (31.8% and 29.3%) and emphasis on Victim–Perpetrator Relationships (14.4% and 12%). These findings suggest that despite national differences, Serbian and American media discourses converge in their tendency to dramatize femicide, personalize it through intimate narratives, and obscure its structural and systemic dimensions.</dc:description><dc:date>2025</dc:date><dc:date>2025-10-02 07:17:23</dc:date><dc:type>Magistrsko delo/naloga</dc:type><dc:identifier>174397</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></rdf:Description></rdf:RDF>
