Through comprehensive analysis of fingerprinting, bounce tracking, and link decorating methods, it evaluates the effectiveness of current privacy protection measures across different browsers, search engines, and privacy-enhancing extensions. The research combines theoretical investigation with practical testing using an automated tool to assess various privacy solutions. Results demonstrate that browser engines alone provide insufficient protection, and that optimal privacy requires a layered approach combining trusted browsers with appropriate extensions and different search engines for navigating the web based on the individual user’s needs.
