As part of the analysis of factors contributing to the various situations, some sociological and political factors are taken up; a quantitative classification of minor languages is added. Against this background the Czech language situation is briefly sketched and some desiderata for a new language policy suggested. It is argued that no future development of a language and language policy, based on a sound and convincing basis, is possible without a large language corpus and its analysis. Finally, the Czech solution to this problem is described, its culmination being the Czech National Corpus project.</dc:description><dc:date>2003</dc:date><dc:date>2024-12-03 14:34:23</dc:date><dc:type>Neznano</dc:type><dc:identifier>165347</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></rdf:Description></rdf:RDF>
