Notions of ontological politics and the ontological turn are employed to illustrate the consequences of this dualism, its crisis, and the potential for a political constitution beyond it. Drawing on experiences in agro-ecology, recent developments in movements for climate justice and land protection, and the approaches of social movements against neoliberal globalisation, the article explores the renewed interest in ontological political questions.
