The paper is divided into four chapters, three of which are theoretical, while the fourth is both theoretical and empirical. In the theoretical chapters I focus on the various approaches to literary texts in EFL classrooms, what effects these texts can have on the learners’ abilities (linguistic proficiency, creative expression, autonomy, motivation and intercultural competence) as well as how to implement literary texts in the EFL classroom in a learner-centred way. The last part of the thesis, which is both theoretical and empirical, contains a thorough analysis of a learner questionnaire that was conducted at a Slovenian grammar school and tackles the attitudes of learners to literary texts used in the EFL classroom. The analysis of the questionnaire was conducted in accordance with the theoretical basis that was established throughout this paper.</dc:description><dc:date>2023</dc:date><dc:date>2023-09-20 07:48:12</dc:date><dc:type>Magistrsko delo/naloga</dc:type><dc:identifier>150536</dc:identifier><dc:language>sl</dc:language></rdf:Description></rdf:RDF>
