Literature in the foreign language classroom through the eyes of theatreKrapež, Katarina (Avtor) Lah, Meta (Mentor) Skela, Janez (Mentor) This thesis gives a short overview of the selected methods, approaches and techniques for teaching foreign languages, and at the same time, emphasises importance of learner-centredness and creativity in the classroom. Furthermore, it presents an overview of how literature and drama techniques can be used in the foreign language classroom, and it highlights the main benefits of using drama and literature in foreign language learning and teaching. In addition, the thesis exemplifies how teachers can integrate drama techniques into the existing syllabus, and it also includes concrete drama games appropriated for classroom work and practical exercises integrating literary works. At the end, there are also a few original classroom activities that combine drama and literature, and a description of personal experience with drama and literature in classroom.[K.
