The thesis describes the implementation of digital controls and monitoring for an apartment. For this purpose, we used existing equipment, adapted to the equipment for operating rooms. The equipment consists of Cy-Bro programmable logical controllers, touch screens, and an electric cabinet. The main objective of the thesis was upgrading a classic apartment from 1965, turn it into a digitally controlled apartment with remote monitoring. The apartment’s interior looks the same as before, and there were not many significant changes done to the interior either. Naturally regular lighting will be replaced with LED panels, the light switches will be upgraded to modern switches, but not smart switches, and the electric cabinet will be replaced. Still, I am not aiming for a complete renovation, as I want the interior to remain the same, with regular wiring, so that the apartment can be sold in the future to any prospective buyer, whether they want a smart apartment or not. The system allows for controlling and monitoring of lighting, humidity, shades and heating. Individual features of the system and their implementation are described in detail.
