Master's thesis presents the work of Velimir Khlebnikov with the focus on his poetical language exploration and language practice, called the "star language". We briefly present the author's life and his work, after that our focal point is Khlebnikov's trans-mental language - "zaum", his methods of word creation or approaches to the "word as such". According to Khlebnikov, the "star language" presents the universal language, which will be understood by all inhabitants of the "Earth sphere". Furthermore, we give our attention to the detailed description of the "star language" and "alphabet of the mind". The aspect, which relates to mythological thinking and the "faith of the four dimensions", as well as the connection between space and time, about which was already written by the Khlebnikov himself, is also presented.
