The Master Thesis is primarily focused on cooperation of School Counselling Services (SCS's) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO's), as well as possible incompatibilities in their functioning.
The theoretical basis presents the issue of family violence itself, as well as the concerning codes and treatment regulations. The work of School Counselling Services and the work of Non-Governmental Organizations when dealing with family violence individually are described, as well as their collaboration in such cases.
The qualitative methodology is utilized in the empirical part. Three coworkers have participated in a focused interview and they have presented their opinions in cooperation of SCS's and NGO's, while the obtained themes have been checked when individually interviewing SCS's. The information gathered through individual interviews have been presented and furtherly commented by NGO's to ensure a more detailed picture of NGO's and SCS's collaboration. Besides the cooperation characteristics, the incompatibilities of NGO's and SCS's are presented, concerning their work and opinions when it comes to detecting and reporting the violence, the question of what role the school plays in family violence, cooperation with the people responsible for violence and work with children. Causes for incompatibility and ways to overcome them are also presented. The Master Thesis ends with a solution, stating the main findings and proposals for further cooperation.
